Beckmans College of Design

Founded in 1939, Beckmans has had degree-awarding powers and state funding since 2003. About 123 students take three Swedish-taught BFA programmes: Fashion, Product Design and Visual Communication. Since 2022 the school has been in the 1912 AGA factory on Lidingö. Workshops include wood and metal, sewing and a photo studio. The island town of about 48,000 links to Stockholm's metro.
