Mälardalen University
Västerås/Eskilstuna, Sweden
Founded in 1977 in collaboration with industry, Mälardalen University became a full university in 2022. Its 20,000 students share two campuses, Västerås and Eskilstuna, on either side of Lake Mälaren. Research in future energy and embedded systems is internationally prominent. Both cities lie about 100 km west of Stockholm. Most of its 19 English-taught programmes are given in Västerås.
