The University of Skövde is a state university in Skaraborg, between Lakes Vänern and Vättern. About 12,200 students share one central campus, a few minutes' walk from the train station. Teaching and research cover IT, game development, health, biology, engineering and economics. A small city of about 58,000, an hour from Gothenburg by fast train, named Student City of the Year 2025 by SFS.
