Apply FAQ
Common questions about the Swedish university application process.
All Swedish universities share one central platform, universityadmissions.se. You can apply to up to four master's programmes or eight bachelor's programmes in a single application round.
Applications for autumn intake typically open in mid-October, with a 15 January deadline to rank your programmes and supporting documents due by early February.
You may be placed on a reserve list and get an offer later if admitted applicants decline their spot - check your status directly on universityadmissions.se, since offers can come right up to the start of term. Ranking a realistic mix of competitive and safer programmes when you apply reduces the risk, and you can always apply again for the next intake.
Master's admission results are typically released in mid to late March, with bachelor's results following shortly after. Universities then contact admitted students individually with next steps, so reply to any offer promptly.
